Indonesia supplies most of the world's patchouli oil. Aceh oil, refined into a clear, iron-free grade for perfumers, plus finished aromatic products.
Also available, upstream and raw: patchouli cuttings of the Tapak Tuan, Sidikalang and Lhokseumawe varieties; crude oil from village stills.

Processing and handling
Example text. Leaves are dried in the shade for several days, then steam-distilled. Crude oil is filtered and refined to remove iron and lighten its colour.
